Trapped in a virtual tornado, photographic images are whisking around the internet from computer to computer. Photography with Roots is my attempt to plant my photographs in history, philosophy, and place so that beauty may truly grow in a healthy environment. I am hoping short segments of text will complete my pictures by grounding them in a much larger order than a mere snapshot. This endeavor will require research and thought, not just posting a few pictures each day.
This blog will also require more effort from the reader. You could simply scroll down and entertain your mind with the images, but I hope you will take the time to read, think, and absorb the thoughts and pictures. Contemplation of the whole, filled with wonder and mystery, is the ultimate goal.
